General Tech Knowledge

When working with data, systems, or business operations, having a solid understanding of how things work behind the scenes makes a real difference.

You don’t need to be an engineer to understand how data is structured or how an ERP manages processes. But if your work involves analysis, reporting, or decision-making, having strong technical fundamentals helps you connect the dots more effectively and avoid relying on assumptions.

I’ve always found it interesting how platforms connect and how systems communicate with each other. The way information flows, and the logic behind those connections, matters a lot when trying to understand the full picture.

Over time, I’ve built strong foundations in:

  • Core data structure concepts: understanding how information is organized.

  • Relational database logic: not to code, but to know how data relates across systems.

  • Reporting logic: how raw data turns into something meaningful.

  • And most importantly: how to understand a process not just from the business side, but from how it's supported by the system.

In the end, it’s about understanding the logic behind things, so that when we work with data, systems, or processes, we’re not just following steps, we know what we’re doing, and we know if and how it can be improved.

Beyond the technical side, it’s about having a broader view: how information flows, how different areas connect, and how small decisions in one part of the process can have a real impact across the business.
